KING COUNTY REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS ADVERTISEMENT King County is requesting Pro posals from qualified firms in terested in providing cultural resources consulting services for County Roads projects on a work order basis. The Request for Proposals, all addenda and current document holder's list are available on the internet at http://www. kingcounty.gov/procurement. The County will not mail, ship or fax RFPs and addenda. Interested firms must register with the County at time of download and ensure that a val id contact email address is giv en. Notification of addenda will be sent to the registered email address. Failure to register will result in the proposer not being notified of any addenda, which may result in rejection of the proposal. The County plans to issue two (2) contracts with a maximum dollar value of $500,000 each. Each contract will have an ini tial period of performance of one (1) year. The County re serves the right to amend the contract duration in one (1) year increments up to a maxi mum of three (3) years, if funds remain. SUMMARY OF WORK: This work may be funded, in part, by the Federal Highway Adminis tration (FHWA) and applicable federal requirements apply. Services may include, but are not limited to: prehistoric and historic archaeology, historic preservation, history, tradi tional cultural properties, pub lic education and outreach, tri bal consultation, geoarchaeolo gy, paleoecology, archaeologi cal modeling, and geographical information systems, as these relate to maintaining compli ance with local, state and feder al cultural resources policies and regulations applicable to County road projects.

SUBCONSULTANT OPPORTUNITIES: Provided for in formational purposes only, fol lowing are subconsulting opportunities that may be avail able on this contract: site surveys, site testing, develop ment of plans, literature searches, data recovery, and public involvement.
