History of National Forests in the Rocky Mountain Region (Region 2).
The US Forest Service, Region 2 intends to solicit individuals and others having the ability to write a history of Forest Service management of National Forests in Region 2 from the late 19th century to the present. This history, which will focus on Forest Service contributions to land management history, is to be written in a creative, analytical style for educated laypersons, and will result in a book-length, image-rich publication. The author(s) shall have specific experience in historical research, working with government records and photographs, and coordinating with a variety of resource staffs and agencies. Anticipated performance time is twenty months from date of award.
SOLICITATION INFORMATION:
The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about March 28, 2009 for viewing and printing. Potential quoters are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet. Quotes will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date.
