Description  

The waters around the Florida Keys are rich in natural and cultural resources. This field school introduces students to issues in marine ecosystems. Students will snorkel the waters of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and John Pennecamp State Park learning how to catalog and monitor the shipwrecks, flora and fish of the area. Students will explore the environs in and out of the water around the Keys meeting professionals who work to protect the parks and sanctuaries while applying their knowledge of the region's ecosystems to issues confronting the sustainability of the protected resources. (Snorkeling ONLY)
