Full Time Field Archeologists and Field Crew Supervisors
The New Orleans office of R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates, Inc. is seeking field archeologists and field supervisors for Phase I survey and potential Phase II site evaluation projects in the Southeast United States. These projects generally involve pedestrian survey and shovel testing. The fieldwork may be located in physically challenging environments, and work schedules typically will run 10 days on and 4 days off, starting in March of 2008.
Lodging and individual per diem will be provided while working on the project. Superior candidates may be selected for permanent positions.
Field archeologist applicants must possess a B.A. or B.S. in Archaeology/Anthropology, and have successfully completed an accredited field school. Those graduating during the coming spring convocation are encouraged to apply. Field Crew supervisor applicants also must possess a B.A. or B.S. in Archeology or Anthropology, have successfully completed an accredited field school, and have at least 6 months of supervisory experience at Phase I and/or Phase II projects. Salaries are competitive, paid semi-monthly, and are commensurate with educational and professional experience.
R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates, Inc. provides Medical/Dental and Life Insurance effective after 3 months; 2-week Vacation and participation in our liberal 401(k) plan begin after one year.
