We are looking for archaeologists to direct large-scale projects and play a key role in collaborative scholarship. Far Western is one of the largest archaeological firms in the western United States, and has a track record of innovative scholarship within a cultural resource management context. Principal Investigators are strongly encouraged to conduct independent research, and receive company support to present professional papers and publish scholarly articles. Cultural Resource Survey (Pre-solicitation South Carolina) The USDA Forest Service, Sumter National Forest in South carolina has a requirement for a Cultural Resource Survey on the Andrew Pickens Ranger District. The project will cover approximately 1,942 acres in 72 timber stands.
