Job Description

Tetra Tech is seeking Project Archaeologists for fulltime salaried positions in its Buffalo, NY and Portland, ME offices. Successful applicants must possess at least a Masters degree in archaeology or anthropology and a minimum of three years of CRM experience and 2 years of experience as a Project Archaeologist. Report writing experience and strong writing skills are a prerequisite. Applicants must be able to work independently, interact positively with others, and supervise field crews. Applicants must also be able to do strenuous fieldwork under harsh conditions. Extended travel may also be required. A background in historic archaeology will be given preference, but prehistorians are also encouraged to apply.

Duties will include conducting and supervising fieldwork, such as survey, testing, and data recovery in a variety of contexts, construction monitoring, impact analysis, NEPA document preparation as well as other tasks as assigned. We seek someone who is self-motivated, flexible, and possesses high professional standards. Job responsibilities will include the completion of all phases of projects, including fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and report writing.

These are permanent full-time positions with benefits. Salaries are dependent on qualifications and experience. Tetra Tech offers generous benefits packages including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and a 401K plan.
