Metcalf Archaeological Consultants, Inc., an employee-owned provider of heritage management consulting services, solicits applications for an archaeological project director.
The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in anthropology or archaeology, sufficient experience to be listed on regional antiquities permits, and working knowledge of the prehistory and natural environment of the northern Great Plains. Project directors supervise and carry out the technical field, laboratory, and reporting work associated with projects under the general direction of a project manager. Project directors supervise crew chiefs, are responsible for project logistics, and ensure that safety requirements, company policies, and data integrity are achieved.
This is a mid-level salaried position with a base salary of $40-50,000 plus equity and bonuses. The benefits package includes equity through the employee stock program, vacation and holiday pay, health benefits, and a publication bonus.
