Job Description

Wapsi Valley Archaeology, Inc., a medium-sized ACRA-member firm based in Anamosa, Iowa, seeks a Project Archaeologist to join our growing company.

This entry level professional position requires that you meet the Secretary of the Interior professional qualifications for archaeology including a graduate degree in Anthropology or a related field. You must have strong research skills, experience supervising archaeological field investigations in the Midwest, and impeccable references.

This is a full time, permanent position with benefits. The position will involve directing archaeological fieldwork across Iowa and surrounding states, research design development, laboratory analysis, archival/history research, writing, editing, and collaborating with other professional archaeologists.
