R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates, Inc. has immediate openings for six field archeologists to work out of our Frederick, Maryland office on a local (non-per diem) data recovery project at a multi-component 18th and 19th century plantation/industrial kiln site. The duration of this project is approximately one month. Applicants must be able to commute to the Frederick office on a daily, Monday-Friday basis; Frederick is located within commuting distance of both Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland. Archeological experience on historic sites and in the Mid-Atlantic region is preferred. These temporary positions are hourly; wages range from $11.56 – $16.57, depending on experience. Upon completion of this project, and based on merit and pending workload, full-time, permanent positions may be offered to successful applicants. Such positions include paid holidays; health and dental insurance (available after 3 months continuous employment); annual leave; and 401(k) participation (after one year). All applicants must have at minimum a B.A. or B.S. in Archeology or Anthropology and satisfactory completion of an accredited field school. R.
