Benchmark Environmental Consultants has an immediate opening for a Principal Investigator/Archaeologist to manage SHPO consultations, NEPA screenings, and Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. The ideal candidate will have BS or MS in Archeology with a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience completing archeological fieldwork and managing multiple projects simultaneously with strict deliverable deadlines. Candidates must have strong computer skills including MS Office and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with SHPO, NEPA and Phase I ESAs is required.
Responsibilities:
Perform and oversee Archaeological projects and fieldwork, report production, and report review, preparing cost proposals, achieve client objectives in quick and cost effective manner. Candidate should be knowledgeable of federal cultural resources regulations.
Job Requirements:
• MS in Archaeology or Anthropology
• 3-5 years of experience with SHPO Consultations and Archaeological Fieldwork and Cultural resources permitting.
